"The Theater High Altitude Area Defense program commissioned a study on the
long-term viability and staying power of Ada after the demise of its mandate
in 1997. The study would help decision makers determine if Ada had the
staying power to support future systems, or whether an alternative should be
sought. This article puts the results of that study in the public domain."
