No, I'm not advocating dropping Ada ... there's still a need in some niches,
like the airplanes I'm concerned with at work.  It's just that VB is now
entering domains where Ada used to be the only choice, and if the Ada
community
does not react, then Ada will weaken.

Yes, Ada does need more public backing, but the past 6 months or so,
Richard seems to be advocating droping Ada and using Visual Basic
instead.  Now maybe Visual Basic is the greatest thing every and maybe
it's not, but this list IS NOT TEAM-MICROSOFT and Visual Basic
advocacy belongs elsewhere.
