I think it would be great if you could post dead lines
(and reminders) here on Team-Ada for up and coming Ada
Letters. More then once I've thought about submitting
articles, etc. and an occasional e-mail with dead
lines (and reminder notices that the day is coming)
would help me and perhaps others to submit. Among the
key reasons is that often articles I think about are
developments I am working on that are moving targets
and knowing approximately when things will be
published helps to get in something that would be
worth while and timely.

Another idea would be to offer up a menu of things
that may be submitted. I noticed in the last Ada
Letters announcements for projects and a yearly
listing of Ada reuse sources (which I may added is
severely out of date and missing all the most
important current resources, I can't believe AdaPower,
GNATCOM, GWindows, the Ada Source Code Treasury, the
many many projects on AdaPower not run by myself (like
GNACK and those in the Ada Lab), and those off
AdaPower like AdaBroker are not even mentioned, just
to name a few of the top of my head). If I had known
that AdaLetters was providing these services, I would
have sent you a mile long list of announcements and
reusable component URLs and descriptions. The author
of the list could have just looked at AdaPower and the
list would have grown 20 times over, I am little taken
back that the editors published the article in its
current state, almost every single active project was
missing. If I was management reading that article, I
would think Ada is dead.

AdaPower isn't a competing resource with SigAda or Ada
Letters and, as is well known, is not run to make
money nor is anything bearing a (c) and lic. that
prevents its reuse (lic. for pages and articles not
written by myself are found on each page and are
usually public domain), so certainly feel free to take
as needed. The more we publicize the new and up and
coming projects and websites to the Ada community the
better chance they will look at Ada as a vibrant and
alive language.
