Two more possible reasons:

1. Joe Programmer's employer by contract owns anything Joe writes unless Joe
   can PROVE all of the following:
   a. Joe wrote it at home.
   b. Joe was capable of writing the same thing before he worked for that employer.
   c. Joe did not write it to make his paid job easier.
