Here's another idea if you're going to OOPSLA 2000 in Mpls next month  --
volunteer to Paul Stachour <[log in to unmask]>, who is managing the
SIGAda "Ada Awareness" booth at OOPSLA this year, to work in the booth a few
hours.  Of course the help will be most appreciated during breaks, so you can
contribute without detracting from technical stuff you came to see/hear/give.
