Abstract:
The talk features Mr. Scott Donaldson and Mr. Stanley Siegel from the
Science Applications International Corporation, SAIC. they are co-authors
of their book "Cultivating Successful Software Development: A
Practitioners View" (Prentice Hall). They will speak on the use of
various methods that contribute to success in software projects. They
present their own "Object Measurement", a registered trademark, enabling
one to measure software products and processes in everyday terms. Their
presentation is to include several examples.
Their premise is that underdstanding how to define, collect, use, and
communicate measurements is a significant contributor to successful
software projects. Measurements should be expressed in everyday terms
familar to an organization. They will show us how to relate software
product and software process measurements to one another to help focus
on process improvement efforts.
