The TASH mailing list is an open, unmoderated, non-commercial
mailing list for discussion of TASH, an implementation of a binding
to Tcl/Tk from Ada. The purpose of TASH is to:

 - allow a Tcl program to use Ada in place of C to implement Tcl
commands where additional execution speed, more complex data structures,
or better name space management is needed, and

 - make the Tcl library functions available to an Ada program. These
include string and list handling, regular expression matching, hash
tables, and rapid development of Platform-Independent Graphical User
   Interfaces via Tk.

The TASH mailing list is intended to foster discussion that improves TASH
and helps people use it more effectively. Although it is open to all who
wish to subscribe, flames and spam will not be tolerated. If you wish
contact the list owner directly, send email to [log in to unmask]
This list is maintained by the free edition of L-Soft's Listserv-Lite
software.

Discussion is invited on, but not limited to, the following topics:

 - uses for TASH
 - bugs
 - future improvements
 - code contributions

To subscribe to the TASH mailing list, send email to
[log in to unmask] with the following command as the only
thing in the BODY of your message:

subscribe tash <your name>

Of course, you know enough to replace the string "<your name>"
with your own name, right? The list server software will
pick up your email address from the headers.

For more information on TASH itself, including how to download
and install it, see http://tash.calspan.com/.
