After 17 years in my profession I am going to make a job change. I'm interested in finishing my college degree and would like to get a major in computer science.
I met with a doctor in the computer science dept. who told me either you have the knack for programming or you don't, the dept teaches ada. Does anyone know how I can find out if I'd have the knack for it or not without going back to school at this time? I took a math placement test I'm back at a high school algebra level. Been away from math too many years, it was suggested that I retake my math courses at nite school, then jump in and finish the core requirements. I had basic and fortran 20 years ago in college, that's when you did everything by punch card.
Thanks Les,
