In a quite interesting article by Bob Frankston the author
of Visicalc:

We started programming by using the tools from ECD on Multics. I worked
at night when the computer time cost $1/hour. Honeywell also took
advantage of the low fee to use the machine at night to develop the Ada
language for the military but those developers worked during their day
from France.

This was around 1979.
