SUBJECT: "Windows CE On Your Embedded PC"

Meeting Date: Wednesday 27 May, 1998

TIME: 6:30 PM Pizza ($5.00) and a chance to network and meet the experts.
The offer of free Pizza to the first 3 individuals who can demonstrate a
year 2000 bug in real, pre-existing Ada code is being extended. So far, no
one has reported one.

ABSTRACT:
Microsoft's Windows CE operating system is not just for your handheld PC.
Microsoft has called Windows CE their "appliance operating system".  They
have positioned Windows CE to targeting embedded platforms and solutions.

This presentation will contrast Windows CE operating system against Windows
'95 and NT.  We'll explore basic strengths and weaknesses of Windows CE.
You'll see how you can get windows CE running on your embedded PC with
minimal effort.  We'll highlight the reasons why companies are using
Windows CE for embedded applications.  And, we'll briefly cover the tools
and resources you'll need to get started with Windows CE.

Speaker Brief Biography:
Rich Farrell has been involved with information technologies for over 25
years since receiving an MBA from the University of California.  Working
with companies including Electronic Data Systems (E.D.S), Control Data,
Equifax, and the Service Bureau Company (S.B.C), Rich has focused on
defining, developing, and implementing information solutions for business.
His background includes information projects for major companies in the
automotive, telecommunication, financial services, and retail industries.

Rich currently works with Annasoft Systems, a distributor of Microsoft
operating systems and related tools and utilities.  He also works with
BizCom providing unified messaging consulting services and customized
solutions.
