SIGAda is encouraging Ada authors to submit to the 1999 International
Conference on Software Engineering. Hopefully all SIGAda members
received the ICSE99 CFP in June, but if you didn't, please see the
ICSE99 website at http://sunset.usc.edu/icse99 . Due dates are:
 - AUG.14 for technical paper abstracts (limit 200 words), required as a
precursor to full papers
 - AUG.28 for full papers, panel proposals, case studies ("architecture"
focus), and tutorial proposals

Original work is sought in the papers, but also updates of Ada papers
submitted to earlier conferences should receive favorable consideration.

I am especially hopeful that some of our fine Ada tutorials from past
Tri-Ada's or SIGAda'98 will be submitted to ICSE'99. This could be an
excellent way to foster Ada visibility and viability in broad software
engineering circles.

FYI, ICSE99 is May 16-22, 1999, here in Los Angeles. Barry Boehm is
Conference General Chair, Don Reifer is Exhibits Chair, and I am
Treasurer/Local Arrangements. One of Barry's goals is to push hard to
restore the previous strong industry perspective in ICSE, and draw
approximately equal numbers of researchers and practitoners, making ICSE
a strong forum for interacting important segments of the software
engineering community.

Hopefully there will be several quality Ada submissions to ICSE99.
