Actually, Coffee very recently said:
"The C programming language was essentially a virus: It took over new
environments for reasons that were not in the interest of the host because it
lacked the kind of software engineering support that was part of languages
such as Ada. C++ inherits these flaws, complicating the task of software
toolmakers such as Genitor Corp."
