All,
This list seems to forward a large number of virus. I belong to ~10 lists
and have never had a virus forwarded through the other lists. Several weeks
ago I sent an email to the acm.org site manager suggesting that they put
filters on the mailing list. He said they would _consider_ the idea. The
Snow-white virus seems to get circulated on this list every month or so. I
don't use Microsoft's Virus Transmission System (Windows) so it is only an
anoyance to me... With all the internet worms going around I suggest
we push to have a filter placed on this list that will at the minimum filter
the known virus (Snow-white has been around for many months!). It amazes
me that the professional organization that represents software developers is
forwarding virus on a mailing list.
