I don't know.  Apple started out with Pascal.  I don't know how much they've
shifted to C, but there's probably a correlation.

However, I suspect that some people at Apple have seen Bill Gates get rich
selling crap that they are beginning to think they can get away with cutting
a few corners.  Bad decision when Microsoft is finally starting to get some
of their stuff working.

Mac OS X is going to be Unix.  Either the reliability improvement will save
the day for Apple, or the changes in the user interface will kill what little
market share they have left.

But we're straying away from Ada.....
