I am from "etc." so I may lack proper "insight", but I'd rather blame
the (western) "Loose weight without excersises" => "Generate some
software from your UML charts in seconds" wave. Nobody is telling
(especially young / new) people that software engineering is a hard
discipline, despite the ease to get started.
