Capers Jones had a Web page that showed the number of lines of code per
function point in many languages. I do not remember whether any
assemblers were included. I was unable to locate it, but there is a
reference to it in

http://sw-eng.falls-church.va.us/AdaIC/docs/present/ajpo/pll-cost/html/tsld040.htm

which is page 40 of

http://sw-eng.falls-church.va.us/AdaIC/docs/present/ajpo/pll-cost/html/index.shtml

Page 40 also mentions a MITRE study "Ada in the Maintenance Arena" from
the USAF Software Technology Conference in 1995.

Capers Jones' company, Software Productivity Research (http://www.spr.com)
was recently purchased. Perhaps the new owners decided they could sell
the info instead of posting it on the Web. Mr. Jones mentions how the
information was gathered (but doesn't give its URL) in

http://www.methods-tools.com/chats/jones.html

which, by the way, includes a favorable (but brief) mention of Ada 95.
