It's mainly used in defence and aerospace in the UK, but recently there has been
some demand for it in the financial markets in the city. One company in
particular has been looking for Ada staff (both contract and permanent) to work
on smart-card applications. Also I believe Reuters use it heavily and, as far as
I am aware, Lockheed-Martin are using it in a non-defence/aerospace related
application (but this might be bogus :-)

Jobserve is one of the better places to see where the demand for Ada is.
Although you don't get company names and so on, I guess if you were researching
its use the agents may supply that information.

You did write 'new' Ada texts; but if you want to include old ones there are
e.g. the algorithm ones by Michael Feldman and John Beidler.
