Awards Committees and Nominations

Two Awards Committees gather nominations for the awards and decide who will
receive them. The SIGCHI Achievement Awards committee selects the
recipients of the CHI Lifetime Achievement Award and elects individuals to
the CHI Academy. The current Chair of this committee is Tom Moran
([log in to unmask]). The SIGCHI Service Award committee selects the recipients
of the CHI Distinguished Service Award. The current Chair of this committee

The Awards Committees seek input from many sources in reaching their
decisions. They solicit nominations from the SIGCHI community. The
nomination deadline for the 2002 awards is January 31, 2002. Nominations
should be sent via email to Tom Moran ([log in to unmask]) or Robert Mack
