Several deadlines for those planning to attend CUU 2003 are fast
approaching:

Doctoral consortium applications: September 22.
Special hotel rates: October 9.
Registration at reduced rates (save $100): October 13.

CUU 2003, the 2nd ACM Conference on Universal Usability, is a conference
about enabling the widest possible range of users to successfully use
technology.  It provides a forum for the presentation of research, new
systems and technologies, empirical evaluations of systems, policy
suggestions, and systems that support community activities.

CUU 2003 will be held in downtown Vancouver, Canada from November 10 -11,

CUU is seeking doctoral consortium applicants.  Ten students will be
invited to explore their research interests in an interdisciplinary
workshop, under the guidance of a panel of distinguished research faculty.
Student participants will have a poster of their work exhibited at the
main conference. Students will receive  complimentary conference
registration, and reimbursement of travel, accommodation and food.  For
