In response to several requests for extensions, we have postponed the 
due date for DIS'06 Doctoral Consortium applications by two weeks, to

The DIS 2006 conference will be held in State College, PA on June 
26-28, 2006. The Doctoral Consortium (held the day prior to the main 
conference) provides an opportunity for doctoral students to explore 
and develop their research interests in an interdisciplinary workshop, 
under the guidance of a panel of distinguished research faculty. 
Submissions are invited from current graduate students pursuing a PhD 
project who would benefit from detailed workshop discussions of their 
doctoral research by a panel of established researchers. Applicants who 
are selected will receive a stipend to defray the cost of conference 
registration, travel, accommodation, and meals (amount to be 
determined).
