*** Call for papers *** ********************************************************************** ** ** ** MexIHC 2006 ** ** 1rst Mexican Workshop on ** ** Human-Computer Interaction ** ** www.mexihc.org ** ** ** ********************************************************************** 24th and 25th of October, 2006 Universidad de las Américas, Cholula, Puebla, Mexico Presentation ------------------------ MexIHC 2006 is the first Workshop on Human-Computer Interaction organized by CHI-México, in a bi-annual format alternating with CLIHC. Its objective is to offer a forum for North America, Mexico and the Caribbean to promote HCI in these regions. MexIHC 2006 will take place at the beautiful campus of the Universidad de las Americas-Puebla, located in Central-Mexico. Workshop Description ------------------------ The workshop’s main purpose is to invite researchers, lecturers, students and practitioners from the field of Human-Computer Interaction to foster scientific exchange, its application in the marketplace and to strengthen its position in Mexico. Besides, it aims to identify current and future areas of high importance. How can I participate? ------------------------ We invite the submission of finished work, work-in-progress, and suggestions for future work as well as industrial case studies. The work can be submitted and presented in both English and Spanish with a maximum length of 4 pages. The submitted work needs to be related with the overall topic of the workshop, cite related work and make a clear statement on how they contribute to the areas of interest. Areas of Interest ----------------- The general area of interest consists in Human-Computer Interaction.
