Hello all, Does anybody know if there is a rule for the capitalization of titles of dialogs? Windows seems to start each word of a dialog title with a capital (except for conjunctions, articles and prepositions), e.g. "Save Document As a Rich Text File". This is known as 'headline style' (even though many newspaper headlines don't use this capitalization style anymore) The alternative is to give only the first word a capital letter, and give proper names and acronyms capitals, e.g. "Convert file to Amazon HTML". This is known as 'sentence' style. The reason I would like to prefer 'sentence style' for the dialogs in our application is because I want to be able to distinguish application-specific terms, such as Publication or Component, from generic terms. Does anyone have an opinion on this matter? Are there hard rules for this? A quick search revealed no rules for this in either the OS X Human Interface guidelines, nor in the Windows Vista style book.
