MobileHCI is the leading conference in the field of Human Computer Interaction with Mobile Devices and Services. The 10th conference in the MobileHCI series provides a forum for academics and practitioners to discuss the challenges and potential solutions for effective interaction with mobile systems and services. It covers the design, evaluation and application of techniques and approaches for all mobile and wearable computing devices and services.

MobileHCI 2008 offers you several possibilities to meet colleagues and share experiences at informal way. At the end of the workshops and tutorial day we can offer you the opportunity to explore Amsterdam, before enjoying a diner in the Amsterdam city atmosphere. These social events are optional and at your own expenses and start from the Conference Venue following on the closing of the workshops and tutorial day.

 

*GET ON YOUR BIKE!

Bicycle treasure tour through Amsterdam. In a team context you will discover various spots in the city where you would normally never come. You will pass the Royal Palace, the Anne Frank house and many canals, the Dam Square and Museum Square, the Jordaan quarter and the famous Vondelpark. During the trip you do have to answer questions correctly and keep an eye on your leader. 

 

Duration: 1.5 hours.

Price: € 31.00 per person incl. VAT  

 

*JEWISH AMSTERDAM

During this walking tour, you will discover the historical developments of the Jewish community. Although many of the places have been replaced with modern architecture, many still reveal examples of pre-war Jewish life. You will pass several monuments of commemoration for the persecutions during World War II in this area. 

 

Duration: 1.5 hours

Price: € 20.00 per person incl. VAT

All activities following on the conference program and start from the conference venue as well. Please note: Both activities have a minimum number of 20 participants! After July 28, only refunds take place when guided tours are cancelled due to lack of participants.
