Google "Frank Sinatra" or just click here: http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=%22Frank+Sinatra%22&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 Short answer: it really depends on the celebrity, and the nature thereof. History has been kind to Richard Nixon since he passed--it was less kind when he was alive. Yes, death impacts people's perceptions. Sometimes negatively, sometimes positively. Michael Jackson is revered in death, and reviled as a child molester in life (justified or not.) To be quite frank (and somewhat crass): he hasn't been dead long enough to really assess the impact. Google "Ryan Jenkins" for somebody whose death will have a minimal impact on their reputation despite their fame. -- Skot Nelson skot (at) penguinstorm (dot) com http://www.penguinstorm.com/ p. 206.629.8735 skype. skot.nelson http://www.linkedin.com/in/skotnelson "In anything at all, perfection is finally attained not when there is no longer anything to add, but when there is no longer anything to take away." -- Antonine de Saint-Exupéry, Wind, Sand and Stars -------------------------------------------------------------- Tip of the Day: Suspend your subscription if using auto replies CHI-WEB: www.sigchi.org/web POSTINGS: mailto:[log in to unmask] MODERATORS: mailto:[log in to unmask] SUBSCRIPTION CHANGES & FAQ: www.sigchi.org/web/faq.html --------------------------------------------------------------
