EuroSSC 2010

the 5th European Conference on Smart Sensing and Context

Call for Participation

14 - 16 November  2010 in Passau, Germany

TUTORIAL: Activity Recognition using mobile phones
The tutorial provides an introduction to the most prominent smartphone
operating systems iOS and Android and their capabilities for context
recognition. In a hands-on programming example, the participants will
realize a small project getting them ready for their own experiments.

As in previous years, the 5th annual IEEE Conference on Smart Sensing and
Context aims at providing a platform for researchers, practitioners, and
students to discuss recent advancements in techniques, algorithms,
architectures, protocols, and user aspects underlying context-aware smart
surroundings and cooperating intelligent objects.

A particular focus of the conference are:

*	Distributed smart sensing and context recognition
*	Context processing
*	Opportunistic information and context processing
*	Context-aware actuators, interaction methods, and human aspects
*	Applications, deployment, test beds and case studies
