Dear SPAA community,
there is an opening for a
postdoc position at USI Lugano in Switzerland, to
be filled as soon as
possible. The goal is to research novel flow
algorithms, which then will be
implemented on graphic cards in collaboration
with industry. Here is one of
the rare opportunities to do theoretical work
in parallel and distributed
algorithms and have a very immediate impact on
practice!
This is
closely related to ongoing research on distributed and centralized
flow
algorithms by Andreas Karrenbauer and myself at MPI for Informatics,
Saarbruecken, Germany. Depending on the candidate's preferences, there is
the possibility for close collaboration with us; we will be happy to provide
ample traveling support for frequent visits.
Feel free to contact me
or Rolf Krause (rolf.krause@usi.lugano.ch) if you
have further questions. For applications, please refer
to the job offer
below.
