[Our apologies if you receive multiple copies of this CFP] ======================================================================== CALL FOR PAPERS AwareCast 2015: 4th Workshop on recent advances in behavior prediction and pro-active pervasive computing (http://www.comtec.eecs.uni-kassel.de/awarecast/) In conjunction with 2015 ACM International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp 2015) September 07, 2015, in Osaka, Japan ======================================================================== Behavior prediction breaks the border from reaction on past and present stimuli to proactive anticipation of actions. Research directions spread from applications for behavior prediction over event prediction, architectures for pro-active pervasive computing, data formats, and algorithms. The workshop focuses on three main challenges: 1. Prediction beyond location 2. Benchmarks and common data sets 3. Frameworks for pro-active pervasive computing While there have been contributions targeting some of these challenges, we still see them as unsolved. Thus we invite unique contribution addressing these challenges and provide a forum to facilitate collaboration among research groups focusing on behavior prediction. TOPICS OF INTEREST INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: * Accurate prediction of seldom events * Case studies considering behavior prediction * Continuous learning for pro-active pervasive computing * Behavior prediction frameworks * Novel applications for behavior prediction * Multi-user and multi-sensor prediction * Data sets and benchmarks for pro-active pervasive computing * Privacy and trust in behavior prediction * Exploiting characteristic patterns for behavior prediction IMPORTANT DATES: Submission Deadline: June 13, 2015 Author Notification: June 26, 2015 Camera-ready version due: July 03, 2015 Workshop: September 07, 2015 PROGRAM COMMITTEE and SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: See the workshop website: http://www.comtec.eecs.uni-kassel.de/awarecast/ WORKSHOP CHAIRS: Klaus David, Kassel University, Germany Christine Julien, University of Texas at Austin, USA Rico Kusber, Kassel University, Germany Sian Lun Lau, Sunway University, Malysia Stephan Sigg, Georg-August University Goettingen, Germany CONTACT INFO: Email: [log in to unmask] --------------------------------------------------------------- For news of CHI books, courses & software, join CHI-RESOURCES mailto: [log in to unmask] To unsubscribe from CHI-ANNOUNCEMENTS send an email to mailto:[log in to unmask] For further details of CHI lists see http://listserv.acm.org ---------------------------------------------------------------
