Dear colleagues, Registration is open for the 2016 IEEE Haptics Symposium, which will take place April 8-11 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Discounted early registration is available through Monday, March 7. At least one presenting author must register for the full conference by midnight on March 7 for accepted work to be included in the conference proceedings. Also note that the DoubleTree conference hotel reservation deadline is March 14. Information on oral presentations, plenary talks, workshops, tutorials, and technical tours can all be found online at http://2016.hapticssymposium.org ***************************************************************************** The IEEE Haptics Symposium is a conference of multidisciplinary research relating to the human sense of touch. Held since 1992, it has become a vibrant forum where psychophysicists, engineers, and designers come together to share advances, spark new collaborations, and envision a future that benefits from rich physical interactions between humans and computers, facilitated by haptic technology. In 2016, we are celebrating almost 25 years of multidisciplinary research relating to the human sense of touch, and we are excited to have Kenneth Salisbury and Roberta Klatzky as plenary speakers. The conference will begin with a full day of workshops and tutorials on Friday, April 8, and will include three days of oral presentations of technical papers, hands-on demonstrations, exhibits, a poster session of work-in-progress papers, and a student innovation challenge. Registration will include a welcome reception and a banquet at the National Constitution Center. Technical tours will be offered in the evening of Monday, April 11, including visits to the world-famous Penn GRASP Lab. ***************************************************************************** Registration Information ***************************************************************************** Registration for the 2016 IEEE Haptics Symposium is now open at the following site: http://www.cvent.com/events/2016-ieee-haptics-symposium-haptics-/event-summary-798dcd7760894fca8015e121943feb24.aspx Discounted rates are available for IEEE members, IEEE Technical Committee on Haptics (TCH) members, and students.
