A Call for researchers and developers who have worked with chatbots, intelligent assistants, or other conversational agents.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
FEBRUARY 12: POSITION PAPER DUE 1500-2500 words
MAY 5: Full-day Workshop at CHI 2019 in Glasgow

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The past five years have seen an explosion of research on and development of Conversational Agents. This workshop with organizers from industry and academia will bring together people who developed or studied personal assistants, chatbots, and related phenomena to make sense of this activity: to explore what worked (and hasn't) in home, education, healthcare and work settings. Position papers are welcome on areas of expertise and interest across a range of topics, including usage scenarios, user perceptions, humans as partners, skill development, ethics and trust. A manageable set of themes will be selected based on the submissions. Outcomes will include shared learnings and case studies, could include UX guidelines, and a consensus for what we can do to move the field forward.
