Conf. on Information Technology Based Higher Education and Training, Sept. 26-27, 2019, Magdeburg, Germany IMPORTANT DATES --------------- Submission of full paper: June 28th, 2019 Notification of acceptance: July 26th, 2019 Camera Ready, and registration: Aug. 23rd, 2019 Rationale eLearning is a dynamic research area reflecting on the current requirements of all participants in the educational process for innovative teaching and meaningful learning combining existing knowledge with future perspectives. The aim of IEETeL is to connect researchers, educators and technology experts giving them an opportunity to share and discuss new solutions, trends and realizations of eLearning environments and the adoption of emerging technologies in educational settings. These will draw the challenging problems in information gathering, processing and usage; development of web-based and mobile services; building intelligent and social-oriented applications in support of flexible, personalized, adaptable, in-demand learning. This forum invites research, technical papers, and report of work in progress, investigating eLearning environment development, information processing/management for education in local/small settings and in global/large scale ones, practices of implementation in education to facilitate high school and university students' learning, and to help then train to become self-organized life-long learners. The technological and pedagogical aspects of building a learning environment are also of interest for the workshop, such as the description of new systems built from scratch using open source software or cloud-based mashup applications, and the presentation of pedagogical strategies and solutions for utilizing such environments. TOPICS of interest follow (But we may consider proposals ranging over other topics in Technology Enhanced Learning and Education). ------ Web 2.0 Applications for Learning 3D Virtual Environments Semantic Web Adaptive and intuitive environments Personal Learning Environments Mobile learning environments and applications Augmented Reality Implementation Intelligent and smart applications Visual aspects Internet of things Security and privacy Learning Analytics Educational Data Mining Social-Collaborative Learning Peer Learning and Peer evaluation Assessment in education Others PROGRAM COMMITTEE ----------------- Alexander Mikroyannidis, The Open University, UK Andrea Sterbini, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy Carla Limongelli, Roma Tre University, Italy Chadli Abdelhafid, Ibn Khaldoun University, Tunisia Damiano Distante, Unitelma Sapienza, Rome, Italy Elena Railean, Tiraspol State University, Moldova Elvira Popescu, University of Craiova, Romania Fernando Albuquerque Costa, University of Lisboa, Portugal Filippo Sciarrone, Roma Tre University, Italy Gemma Tur Ferrer, Universitat de les Illes Balears, Spain Laurent Moccozet, University of Geneva, Switzerland Luigi Laura, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy Kay Berkling, Duale Hochschule Baden-Wόrttemberg Karlsruhe, Germany Maiga Chang, Athabasca University, Canada Maria De Marsico, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy Maya Dimitrova, Bulgarian Academy of Science, Bulgaria Pasquina Campanella, University of Bari "Aldo Moro", Italy Rachid Anane, Coventry University, UK Ricardo Queiros, Politechnic of Porto, Portugal Umberto Nanni, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy Zuzana Kubincova, Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia ORGANIZING COMMITTEE -------------------- Malinka Ivanova, Technical University of Sofia Minoru Nakayama, Tokyo Institute of Technology - nakayama(at)ict.e.titech.ac.jp Marco Temperini, Sapienza University of Rome - marte(at)diag.uniroma1.it --------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Dr. Marco Temperini Associate Professor Dept. of Computer, Control and Management Engineering Sapienza University, Rome, Italy --------------------------------------------------------------- For news of CHI books, courses & software, join CHI-RESOURCES mailto: [log in to unmask] To unsubscribe from CHI-ANNOUNCEMENTS send an email to mailto:[log in to unmask] For further details of CHI lists see http://listserv.acm.org ---------------------------------------------------------------
