[Call for Abstracts - Performance Evaluation Review: Candidate Profiles]
ACM SIGMETRICS aims at supporting with a new initiative the career of talented young researchers in performance evaluation of computer and communication systems. Starting from this year, extended abstracts presenting the profiles of job market candidates (for postdoc, faculty positions, research labs, and industry) who have recently concluded (or are about to conclude) a PhD degree in a subject relevant to the SIGMETRICS community will be considered for publication in the Performance Evaluation Review (PER) newsletter. PER (http://www.sigmetrics.org/per.shtml) is the quarterly publication circulated to all ACM SIGMETRICS members, with articles available for download through the ACM digital library.
Job candidates who wish to be included in an upcoming PER issue that will feature these profiles should initially submit an expression of interest through the form at https://forms.gle/buJ6HPEijEiUDezg8 by no later than November 15, 2019, AOE, followed by a submission of a full profile in PDF format (maximum 4 pages) by November 22, 2019 AOE, to the PER editor (Zhenhua Liu, [log in to unmask]). Notification of acceptance will follow on or before November 30, 2019.
In summary, abstracts presenting candidate profiles are solicited by the following deadlines:
November 15, 2019: Deadline for expression of interest (https://forms.gle/buJ6HPEijEiUDezg8)
November 22, 2019: Deadline for candidate profile submission in PDF
November 30, 2019: Notification
Profiles should include the candidates' thesis title, research summary, brief biography, and citations to three representative papers, as well as links to each candidate's homepage and CV.
