FabLearn Europe / MakeEd invites submissions for the fifth conference in series in Europe to be held June 19, 2020 at the Creative Computing Institute, University of the Arts, London, UK. The one-day conference brings together international researchers, educators, designers, and makers to discuss and explore digital design and making/digital fabrication in different educational contexts, and hands-on learning for the 21st Century. FabLearn Europe / MakeEd is organised as a sister conference to the global FabLearn conference that has been held over the past years at Stanford University, USA. MakeEd is the academic part of FabLearn Europe. The conference is held just before Interaction Design and Children (IDC 2020) begins, providing an ideal venue to extend your networks.

We seek submissions of papers, workshops, posters and demos that focus on topics related to learning and technology within the area of computing, design and making/digital fabrication. We welcome submissions from people from multiple sectors including teachers, practitioners, technologists, designers and academics. Key areas of interest include:

	• Explorations and evaluations of computing, design, and making in educational institutes such as best practice case studies.
	• New methods for digital fabrication that have been tested in educational contexts.
	• Theoretical concerns concerning digital technologies, education, design, making or fabrication.
	• Emerging technologies for digital fabrication.
	• Innovative ideas in research and education with digital fabrication.
	• Design thinking, innovation or entrepreneurship in education

All accepted submissions will be published in the ACM Digital Library as part of the FabLearn Europe / MakeEd 2020 proceedings
