Dear all,

ACM SIGMETRICS aims at supporting with a new initiative the career of talented young researchers in performance evaluation of computer and communication systems. Continuing from last year, extended abstracts presenting the profiles of job market candidates (for postdoc, faculty positions, research labs, and industry) who have recently concluded (or are about to conclude) a PhD degree in a subject relevant to the SIGMETRICS community will be considered for publication in the Performance Evaluation Review (PER) newsletter. PER (http://www.sigmetrics.org/per.shtml) is the quarterly publication circulated to all ACM SIGMETRICS members, with articles available for download through the ACM digital library

Job candidates who wish to be included in an upcoming PER issue that will feature these profiles should initially submit an expression of interest through the form at https://forms.gle/buJ6HPEijEiUDezg8 by no later than September 26, 2020  AOE, followed by a submission of a full profile in PDF format (maximum 4 pages) by October 15, 2020  to the PER editor (Zhenhua Liu, [log in to unmask]). Notification of acceptance will follow on or before October 29, 2020.

In summary, abstracts presenting candidate profiles are solicited by the following deadlines:

Profiles should include the candidates' thesis title, research summary, brief biography, and citations to three representative papers, as well as links to each candidate's homepage and CV. A template file to prepare the submission is available at: http://sigmetrics.org/per/profile-template.zip

For any inquiry, please contact the PER editor: Zhenhua Liu ([log in to unmask]).

Best regards,
Zhenhua
