Dear Bev,

First, I am sorry for the late reply! We have held a Hackathon and have a
lot of follow-up work. Besides, one of the winning teams consists of 3
women and 1 man!

This proposition is truly unexpected, but it is much pleasure to get it,
especially from you, Bev, as we worked closely on previous events, in
Ukraine too.

Yes, You are right, I personally support women – and particularly girls, as
this activity should be started as early as possible, in school preferably
– in any way, to show the possibilities and to provide the equivalent
opportunities to both genders.

So, I hope I will be really helpful to the European community to support
women in computing and to produce content of the best quality.

It is no doubt an honor for me to become a part of the Committee. I hope
there is no confusion that I will be the only (and the first) man in such a
committee if I am right. Of course, I will try to do my best for the
quality of the events and to support other activities of the ACM-W Europe.

Please provide me with the information and documents I should know before
we start.

Thank you!

Best regards,
Dr. Taras V. Panchenko
