Thank you for your interest in web design, but I have to say your questions
are a little bit off topic. this mailing list is only about how to make
user friendly sites: the usability aspect of the site, which is not at all
the same as graphic design or html-coding.

The need for speed is something very important indeed. It's the number one

The answer is no (the font is supposed to be on the computer of the user),
but this really is not a question for this mailinglist! ;-)
It's about HTML. A better place is this newsgroup:

You should do a search in www.dejanews.com.

A good question on this list would be if it's good practise to use this tag
in your pages, because you can not be sure the user has this font...
